Choose a clean-water pump for irrigation, transferring water between tanks and other applications involving relatively clear water. For trenches, excavations, flooded areas and wastewater containing sediment or debris, select a trash pump engineered for dirty water.
Flow Rate and Connection Size
Flow rate determines how quickly the pump can move water. CIMEX petrol water pumps are available with 2-inch, 3-inch and 4-inch connections, making it easier to match the pump to the required hose system, water volume and job-site conditions.
Total Head and Working Distance
Check the total head when water must be lifted vertically or transferred over a long distance. The correct pump should provide sufficient pressure and flow at the actual operating height and hose length, not only at the pump outlet.
